Keita Balde Diao: The only real offer came from Monaco

Keita Baldé Diao says “there was a lot of talk” about Inter and Juventus but “the only real offer came from Monaco”.

The Senegal international left Lazio to join the Ligue 1 side, despite repeated claims he was holding out for a move to Turin.

“There was a lot of talk about offers from Juve and Inter,” Keita said in his presentation Press conference.

“The only real offer came from Monaco.”

The 22-year-old has been touted as replacement for Kylian Mbappé, but Keita played down those comparisons.

“Don’t compare me to Mbappé, don’t compare me to anyone. I have my own style.

“If I have this label of a ‘phenomenon’ it’s because I’ve worked very well throughout my career.”
